Captain Hook

Captain Hook's objective was to lift large tetrahedron shaped objects made from PVC onto even larger tetrahedron shaped goals. To accomplish the task, a scissors lift with a hook end-effector, hence the name, was employed to lift the pieces over ten feet in the air. The hook holds the game piece at the vertex of the tetrahedron. The electronics are on a plexiglass removable tray and are shielded by scissors lift to protect from falling pieces and other robots. The drive system makes use of a two-wheel drive and castors setup.
